George Friedrich Händel – Sonatas For Oboe And Basso Continuo

George Friedrich Händel – Sonatas For Oboe And Basso Continuo

About the work:
Chamber Music was not the main work in Händel’s music, nevertheless he wrote some pieces for smaller groups of performers including a number of Trio Sonatas, the majority for two violins and basso continuo, but also a number of sonatas for solo instrument (like in this case, oboe) and continuo. This recordings are little known and present a good opportunity to get familiar with that part of Händel’s work.

Players:
Burkhard Glaetzner: oboe
Walter Heinz Bernstein: cémbalo
Achim Beyer & Karl Suske: violín
Siegfried Pank: viola de gamba
Thomas Reinhardt & Knut Sönstevold: fagot

Track List:

Stereo,  ADD/DDD,  MP3,  320 kbps,  51:12 minutes.  Covers & Info included.

Part1 —–   Part2

  1. Dear Jazzman2008,

Thank you for letting us share such beautiful pieces of known and (maybe more important) less-known classical music.
I have a question to you:
The link from Part1 from G.F.Haendl – Sonatas for Oboe and Basso continuo does not fire, because the file seems to be missing.
    Can you please fix this?
    Thank you,
    Kind regards,
    Tony van Grinsven
